Re: S4 4.2 Engine Swap. it is plug-n-play but a lot more work and parts than just a motor. this guy did it. transmission is totally up to your preference, but any standard and most automatic transmissions will bolt right up. BT/BAT build threads make me happy I have a stock turbo. The S4 has 2 turbos and the A8 doesnt. The turbos pack in more air, requiring more fuel. Therefore, the S4 is going to have more horsepower than the A8. The B6 S4 is naturally aspirated and does not have any turbos.
