RE: Fenix 5S Plus sudden increase in battery drain Update from my end about the Fenix 5S Plus from the initial post of this thread. Starting from the situation described in the beginning -- oldish watch, Garmin support not able to help further, battery drain too fast for the device to be of any use. Here's what I did for the solution: 1- Hard reset. I turned off the clock. I held down the two buttons on the right as it booted up. I let go of a key after the first beep. Other button after second beep. 2- Soft Reset. I reset all the settings of the clock from the menu. 3- I tried Alpha and Beta versions. I have two tests with the navigation mode and I have followed a track for 1 hour, spending almost 6% (aprox. 17 hours of battery life), in this navigation mode and following a track. These 17 hours are much less than my Fenix 5x plus working under the same conditions. Any experience following a track regarding battery drain? Any ideas to So now I am at 3% and have no way of charging my battery. If it were a really old Garmin, that would be one thing. But I paid $600 for it and got 1.5 years worth of use and really want to figure out if there is a fix or if the Fenix 5X Plus is a lemon. Thanks for any help GPS is a big battery drainer. Sometimes simple light settings can save or use a lot of juice. Yes, I know about gps and light settings. I’ve been wondering about battery drain of different widgets, apps, and keeping the watch on stopwatch or timer screens. GPS is the obvious killer. Garmin Venu 2 Plus battery drain: Garmin Fenix 6 series: Like the Fenix 7, press and hold the Light button at the top-left of the device until the watch switches off. Power it back on by Fenix 5S Plus sudden increase in battery drain. 518000 10 months ago. My ~3yo Fenix 5S Plus suddenly started draining battery much quicker than before (100% to zero in 24h with no activity and all sensors off). I used to be able to go for a week without charging. Interested in preserving much required watch battery percentage on 5S Plus Any stats available comparing OHRM versus Ant+ HRM Run? In addition, watch battery drain using Stryd Foot-pod connected via Ant+? Of course, I can perform various activity combinations and monitor usage, but maybe data is already available? Changes made from version 15.10 to 15.40: Added support for connecting to a shifting sensor (Sram Etap or Di2 bike) that supports up to 4 front and 12 rear gears. Fixed an issue where steps were not being counted during a multisport activity. Fixed an issue where one wasn’t able to search near a waypoint. TBF, the epix 2 is a Fenix with an OLED display. Doors open, come on in. I have a 6X Sapphire. I keep eyeing the epix 2. If it could have the battery of the 6X, I imagine I'd have migrated, but at the moment I think the Fenix with the battery life better suits my needs. LLY5M.
