It is straight forward transmission filter change, be sure to wipe out pan and clean the 2 magnets thoroughly. Valvoline makes a Full synthetic CVT fluid that is CVTF4 chrysler compatible. Part #804751. I recommend changing before 100K miles as it already dirty (very black) by then and then every 50K miles as much fluid remains in trans during A short video on my experiences in changing the Automatic Transmission Fluid on a BA Ford Falcon I understand BF Falcons are similar in design so these exper Trans-Synd synthetic transmission fluid or equivalent Automatic transmission fluid capacity Fluid and filter change 4L60-E/4L65-E: 5.0 quarts 4L80-E/4L85-E: 7.7 quarts: From dry, including torque converter 4L60-E/4L65-E: 11.2 quarts 4L80-E/4L85-E: 13.5 quarts: Manual transmission lube capacity New Venture 3500: 2.2 quarts: New Venture 4500: 4.0 It is far better to have slightly less fluid that necessary in the transmission than to overfill it. Run Engine - Check Dipstick ~3.6 U.S. Quarts Added: Check & Replace Dipstick: Temporarily replace the transmission dipstick while you perform the following steps to check the transmission fluid level. 1. Turn on the engine. 2. You will get answers from both sides. Change, don't change, flush, etc. IMHO, the best is to drop the pan, change the filter, add fluid, disconnect the cooler line, pump out about 3 quarts, add 3 quarts, pump, add, etc. until you have replaced all the old. That is what I will do soon with mine @ 105k miles. A fluid exchange is not going to cause any issues if they are just hooking up to the transmission lines. All it does is pump the old fluid out and new fluid in, it circulates just like it does when you drive. A Flush pushes fluid through the system which could cause potential problems. To me there is a big difference. There are differences between how they’re performed and what exactly they do. Notably, the price for a transmission fluid flush is around $150 to $250 on average, depending on the type of vehicle and transmission you have, where a transmission fluid change is more time-consuming and the price ranges from around $230 to $475. The fluid level should be between the upper and lower marks. If necessary, add fluid and recheck. Use only Genuine Honda or DEXRON® II Automatic Transmission Fluid (A.T.F.) when adding or changing fluid. After checking the fluid level, replace the dipstick securely. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE CAPACITY: 2.4 (2.1 Imp qt, 2.5 US qt). A transmission fluid flush, however, uses pressure to push all the old transmission fluid out of the system as it is refilled with new fluid. It is more of a fluid exchange than a drain and refill. For this reason, many mechanics recommend performing a second fluid change within 10,000 miles of the first. The only way to change fluid is to drop the pan, replace the filter then refill using the temperature/level adjustment method. At most all you can replace is 3.5 liters. I recomend changing the fluid and filter every 100,000 miles based on the fluid analysis I have seen. AHBfeYg.
